The Orenda Society specifically addresses the needs of youth in our community by offering engagement opportunities for youth to feel empowered, learn and develop self-inquiry and self -regulation skills, through movement based activities, mentorship, and leadership training.
The impact of youth learning these valuable tools early in life increases individuals sense of self- awareness, and instils confidence to support and enable youth to feel empowered in their own decision making, better manage anxiety, mitigate the impact of toxic stress, and navigate life challenges in the adolescent years.
The Orenda Society is invested in giving back to the larger community and is committed to youth engagement, with a particular focus and passion for mental health initiatives. We work collaboratively with schools, community partners, and allied non for profits.
We engage young people in mentorship programs where they can learn the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to better self- regulate thoughts and emotions, enhance resiliency, and improve individuals ability to navigate stressful situations and make thoughtful informed decisions for themselves.

Volunteer
As a growing non for profit we rely heavily on the support from our community and amazing volunteers that help make our events and initiatives possible. We offer a variety of volunteer engagement opportunities for both youth and adults.
Many of the youth who have gone through our programming become youth ambassadors and engage as volunteer mentors at signature events and take on leadership roles with our youth led initiatives and programming. High school students are able to gain volunteer hours through this volunteer work.
