Gina Perrault
Board Member at Orenda
Gina is a passionate advocate for health and wellness, driven by the belief that movement serves as a powerful remedy for achieving holistic well-being. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta and another in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge, she has built a strong foundation in sports therapy and preventive health support. Gina's commitment to continuous learning is evident through her completion of a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) and her participation as a Hoffman Quadrinity Process® Graduate.
As the founder and CEO of Restorative Sports Therapy, a multi-disciplinary health clinic in the Foothills, Gina focuses on fostering collaborative healthcare and a client-centered practice. Her expertise extends to sports therapy, providing foundational preventive health support, and advocating for positive lifestyle changes. Gina's leadership extends beyond her clinic as she consults in the community, delivering workshops on clinical and professional leadership, movement education, and mindset practices.
Gina is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a passionate supporter of community well-being. She founded Camp Move Your Mood, a grassroots health program for youth aged 5-11, emphasizing physical literacy and emotional regulation. In recognition of her impactful work, Gina was nominated for the Woman of Inspiration award in 2021 through the Universal Women's Network.
Within Orenda, Gina's dedication to impact over comfort is evident - she believes in continuous personal development and is driven by a deep-rooted commitment to catalyze positive change. As a mentor, she aims to champion the well-being of both youth and adults by creating safe spaces where individuals can freely share their stories. Gina envisions reshaping the perception of paramedical professionals and establishing a new standard of practice focused on comprehensive care plans and overall health advocacy within the community. Gina is determined to be the mentor and role model she needed in her earlier years, nurturing an environment that champions visibility, empathy, and empowerment for everyone who walks through the Orenda doors.
My impact revolves around establishing a comprehensive wellness environment centered on preventive healthcare within the framework of the biopsychosocial model - taking consideration into all aspects of a person's life. This initiative aims to alleviate the strain on our public healthcare system by reshaping the perception of paramedical professionals. I aspire to set a new standard of practice wherein allied health professionals play a pivotal role in imparting education on comprehensive care plans and advocating for overall health for the people in my community.
